JANUARY 2026 ASTROLOGY NEWSLETTER
Hello Star friends and welcome to 2026 and the opening of the doorway into a new chapter for all of us on planet earth. What a month, intense and shaky at times but things are moving fast. Early month’s once in every 6 and a half year stellium of Mars, Venus, Moon, and Mercury with the Sun, now all closely packed into stentorian Saturn’s Capricorn desk, gavel in hand, suggests to me that justice and legality will have their voices heard throughout most of January.
Further along into the month, this thread of truth being revealed does appear to find its voice.
Janus, the two faced Januarian namesake, while still looking over his shoulder to see what has to be cleaned up, does need to turn his head to focus on the tasks at hand. Later, Uranus’ take over will sound a very different note, cue the music, Age of Aquarius?
Astrology’s interest in repeating patterns and cycles has always brought up some interesting events to consider. Present time’s unusual visit by the 3i/Atlas copied a similar celestial event in 1861. Back then a great comet seen by the naked eye, as Neptune had just slipped over into zero degrees of Aries. Oh wait, that’s right where the trident god is right now in its165 year cycle repeat.
Numerologically adding up to the number One, 2026 has long been seen as the opening to the new beginnings, in art, science technology, and even spiritually. The Hopi Indian masters are calling this the “fifth world, the Hindu swamis, the new Yuga. For others this new “aira” s opening will bring us to remarkable newness, even discoveries about outer stellar systems relatively unknown till now . Many astrologers have understood for some time that the 2020’s would be bringing about some big changes.
So hop onto the Siren’s sky shark if you like and let’s nose it all out.
THOUGHTS ON THIS CYCLE:
January 1- 5th New year’s Gemini moon along with Mercury in Sag’s late hit to Neptune, sheds a final note of confusion into the trash. Then it’s hello to that tight pack, or “cazimi” of early Cap planets by Saturday’s full Wolf moon ( 2:03 am pst) Now we can say the real new year has begun under a maternal Cancerian moon exuding an element of nurturing, safety and coziness for many.. For a few others the opposition of Venus in Capricorn might trigger feelings of rejection. The moon’s vedic position in Ardra speaks of water, tears for some, floods for others. This coincides, present time with Saturn’s location at 27.50 Pisces exact to that fixed star Sheat, blamed for intrepid water damaging events.
Now we can’t overlook the exact connection of this lunar event to our own USA’s July 4th chart’s hard aspect to Saturn. This explains 1776’s opposition against a king and “no taxes without representation”. Mars and Venus will take this up with Jupiter very soon as we head over to a rather serious moment.
January 8 -11th Friday and Saturday’s law abiding Libra moon sits unsettled and disturbed by the angry rhetoric firing off between Sun, Mars and Venus over at Jupiter and Chiron. Where, what and who? Closing in later week, this lineup intensifies and directly impacts specific charts. To say that one of the harshest aspects to the core of our legal system’s chart, September 24, 1789 US Constitution, being challenged, is tipping it lightly. Right here, difficult issues regarding deceit and dishonesty are coming up to the fore. This is all in close sync with another chart’s close matchup to same degrees and signs. You may have guessed, and yes it is President Trump’s chart, health and self.
JANUARY 17 -19th’s Closing in on this extraordinary new moon in 28.44 Capricorn (11:52 am pst) on the18th, could there be some sensible action and rationality amidst all of this global intensity? Yes, in fact right now we do have the gifts of Saturnian stability and Uranian Inventive change upheld by Neptune’s deeper spiritual intuitive side.
Aside from the usual Capricornian need to control, following into next month, multi celebrations for the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse! Following the rather introspective snake year, the fire horse doesn’t stand still. No, it’s energetic, loving freedom and bold action and said to promote prosperity.
January 21st With the Sun just entering Aquarius, we have now entered a new chapter, veering away from the Saturnian let’s get to work theme, onto what’s the future looking like, what can we do that’s new and different ? More exciting just now, is having Sun with Venus and Pluto are right on the incredible fixed star Altair, the flying Eagle.
Altair, known for its hardiness, courage and generosity, can sometimes boldly over do itself in some foolhardy action. The more helpful components of Altair’s nature will send those legal eagles, and maybe some crows, down to Saturn’s desk. Will certain rules and plans be scrapped and redrawn?
January 24 – 27th OK some serious days have arrived coinciding with two astro events . Neptune’s crossing over into Aries, right here for the first time in165 years, alerts us to a fascinating piece of history. Yes, Neptune’s identical move last occurred on April 14,1861, when the gunfire between the newly formed Confederacy and Union men at Fort Sumter, South Carolina ignited America’s Civil War. The battle over the freeing of black slaves in America occurred at the same time as Czar Alexander II, the Liberator, abolished serfdom in Russia. Again, same Springtime of 1861, his action freeing over 23 million serfs in a single strike.
Now, the question might be, are we in another American civil war and is it part of a much larger global civil war? It’s also worth mentioning that the rule changer Uranus has been moving slowly over the 27th degree in Taurus, right over the dreaded fixed star Algol. This star’s unfortunate reputation, whether literal or figurative speaks about a world leader losing his head or place as it moves into later February’s solar eclipse. World impacting events . The world is changing right in front of us in ways unseen for millennia.
January 27th Ok, another red alert. Sunday and Monday, with the moon in Taurus squaring it, Mars will slam Pluto over the head. Things are looking serious. Flashback to late September 2025? Those very strong early Aquarian degrees also showed up in the October 16, 1962 chart of the Cuban missile crisis and their earl degrees also standout in Russia’s natal charts. Now, Zelensky and Ukraine are likely in the target zone under these harsh days, safety and protection required. However, I do believe that Zelensky will ultimately come out of all of this, whatever the cost this ultimatum may entail. As for Putin, I’ll save that for later.
January 28 – 31st I’ll try to spare you the astro verbiage so here it is, the end of January. Wednesday the 26th through the 31st sky pattern rolls out under the lordship of a different, very sparky, and inventive sky. Inner planets Mars, Sun, Mercury and Venus (plus moon in Gemini on 28-29th) all in Aquarius. We’re getting close !
As we end a month of macrocosmic intensity, let’s see what comes next. Are all these actions, simply prepping us up for the New Era or Fifth world? I will say that new world, whatever face it may have, will really begin to show itself under April’s radiant skies. Finally we can begin to see what surprises, some even positive, may be lying in wait for us.

BIRTHDAYS OF NOTE: The following birthdays are based on the very close degrees of the Sun if closely aspected present month. I don’t generalize on a large swath of 1- 30 dates for which I could never be specific, but Sun Sign astrology can be entertaining and financially successful.

JANUARY 2- 5th A full moon birthday yes! An open sky, an open mind, thoughts not withheld. It’s your day and powerful as heck, with Mars and Venus so tight with the Sun, what will you do with all of this inner and outer drive, for your year? Yes, it’s something! Happy Birthday!
JANUARY 17 -19th Well a powerful new moon birthday, fueled by stellar drive from Mars, Venus, Sun, moon and Mercury, all describing your determination to get It done and so you shall ! It’s not a purely smooth path ahead, bumps are there but you’ll persevere.
JANUARY 24 – 27th These birthdates had to be mentioned as there’s so much going on in your solar return charts!! The early incursion of 3 inner planets to your Suns in Aquarius and with Pluto, speaks to a significant time for you, what will you create or invent or do? You’ve got Altair, the flying eagle, with all its good intentions and creativity with you all year ! Only word of caution, try to avoid any impulsivity, blame it on Mars?
FEBRUARY 1-7th, Although there are no exact aspects to these Suns, end of month, January 27 -31st has your name written all over it. Well that spells action and fun, a lot of it, even romantic episodes. Just be a little careful not to go overboard, fun as it may appear.
FEBRUARY 17 -19th OK I’ve said it before, these close birthdays are coming to the closure of that irritating Uranian frustration, maybe not too harsh , or worse, yes I get it! Now, just know that it’s leaving in 2 months from these close degrees. Your sky the sky will brighten as the stress disintegrates.
FEBRUARY 21- 25th Very Early month, all the first week, you have some friends riding along with you in early Capricorn. Ok, that’s a safety net and it stays right with you through the full moon of the 3d up to the 7th! Otherwise no really exact aspects to your Suns and selves. No problem, You have other aspects and indications in your birth chart.
February 27 – MARCH 2nd. Well this is a big deal, a you’re having Rahu, the north node of destiny, right over your Suns until later March. This could be and has been a life changer for so many. You may already be thinking about those new life and even location changes? And it can be great!
MARCH 2 – 7th These same dates have the gift of the super full moon, same dates. A opening of the sky to your thoughts and creative plans. The first 10 day of the month have should bring you some helpful energy and drive ! Then you have the additional gift of Jupiter the gift giver, some good news? All the way into later February!
MARCH 10 – 12th How nice is this second week, a gift from Mars ,the Sun all with Jupiter in his highest and best location. And! he’s sending this vibe directly over to you for much of the month and on into next month! No complaints you lucky sea creatures.
MARCH 17 -19th Big days with some nice energy gifts to you from the sky! All on the edge of your next chapter, a new day just ahead!
MARCH 31 – APRIL -4th The early month’s full moon days might feel a bit disruptive or too confusing. Never mind, late month has it all in gear for you, as you motor along into February.
APRIL 9 – 12th These same dates for the month aren’t very friendly so just hold back a few days here because they are likely disturbing to your Suns, yourselves. Oh ok, wear that mask if heading to the airport.
APRIL 17- 19th Kinda difficult here with that new moon squaring your Suns, very, couple of days. But, smile, a month from now, same days it’s just the opposite, you’ll be pretty excited. Big stuff, won the bingo game from an eclipse? Yes.
APRIL 24- 27th Careful on these exact dates for your Suns later this month . It’s all because of that tight Pluto and Venus hookup in Aquarius, throwing darts at your days and plans. The first couple of days look pretty nice, just be careful, no risk taking on those specific 3.
APRIL30 – MAY 2 – 4th Full moon on the 3d is pretty nice for you! A lot of action, positive and uplifting energy from four sky friends in early Capricorn who like you a lot right especially early month’s days. Much later month hold back, Mars getting fired up on something, might flatten your tires or give your dog chocolate.
MAY 9 -12th Your better days are close to this second weekend of the month, so much support in whatever you want, or need, to do. Big days!
MAY 17- 19th Uranus on board over your head in your house on your laptop, leaving soon thank heaven, by later Feb. The good part is that this new moon same days, is great for anything you’re trying to pull off. Inspiration, legal emotional and physical strength, What did I leave out?
MAY 22 – 25th You’ll have a mirroring effect to these same days of this month, only for your Suns this is really good! The creative and mental acuity piece is a gift! Very early days, kinda bumpy no big deal.
MAY 28- June 3d These very early days of January might seem a little bumpy or off course for you, so just slow down. The sky clears up later.
JUNE 17 – 21st After this month you can relax as that confusion part is leaving your sky, good riddance Neptune, and take Saturn with you soon! As I always say, your chart has many other aspects degree, and planets, this isn’t the only thing!
JUNE 27 – July 1st The best part of these next two months for your Sun is that rare once in 18 year side friend holding up your plans and hopes. All thanks to the lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu.
JULY 3- 5th Early month’s powerful super moon in Cancer, exact to these same birthdates, may have a message to open your mind and heart. Opening to this, maybe a star call from the cosmos regarding a problem or decision in flux? Hurt feelings The good part is that this lunation does hold some good vibes thanks to the close proximity of the lunar nodes and Jupiter!
JULY 11-13th Well happy birthday to you strong determined goats. The sky on these dates is not silent, no, it’s pointing out what ever has been making you feel like yes or no, to take the higher road. Serious days but you’ll figure it all out !
JULY 17-19th A birthday on such a powerful new moon, you lucky goats! And this underlies the hidden strength for your entire year. It’s something ! Decisive, determined, as in doing IT!
JULY 24 – 27th These dates might want to shut their doors and phones on January’s identical days. Not fun or very friendly.. its very short but i had to mention it, safety is my number one concern for all.
AUGUST 1-3d A lot of action comes to these exact birthdates later month, say last week, and be a little careful, a lot of Aquarius flying with your Suns might be ok, the 28th best day!
AUGUST 17 -19th Not too many exact aspects to your suns with one exception. That rebel rouser Uranus is pointing straight at your Suns, your selves so be safe! In every action of the day. Your chart has many other aspects so it’s not just this.
AUGUST 28 – SEPT 1st There is a very rare, once in 18 and a half year aspect with Ketu the mark of karma, crossing your Suns. You may find yourself going over recent actions and thoughts, wondering how that has affected you.Its a n inner journey and even a helpful!
SEPTEMBER 1- 5th The early month full moon has your name on it, as in who benefits! Well its an uplift for your ideas and plans and selves! Nice and with Jupiter, wow!
SEPTEMBER 9 – 11th Here we are so much going on but its all pretty helpful for your lives and selves. Earth and water likes Virgo and this is a good time for you!
SEPTEMBER 24 – 27th Normally I would stay away from here, but these exact same dates are uplifting to your Suns and selves! It’s good! Late month even better!
OCTOBER 1- 4th Wow this early month’s full moon’s powerful vibe isn’t exactly your best friend. But it’s about the Suns so you have other planets and friends up there .Very late month, just the opposite, excitement with some really good vibes for you! So just hold on.
OCTOBER 9- 11th Be very careful right here especially. There are some obstructive aspects to your Suns and selves. Ignore a negative meeting, wait for a few days later when Mars gets bored with you, you’re free the following week.
OCTOBER 17 -19th Hold off on these same days, that new moon doesn’t help. February has your friend pack so just wait, same day in Feb is great!
OCTOBER 22—25th Later October on these exact dates are not helpful or even that safe for you so stay away from any thing demanding your signing. But, the opposite is all you very early week, so it’s a yes and a no.
NOVEMBER 1 – 3d Early weekend is beautiful for you with that powerful full moon and Jupiter! Gifts for you ! Wow the ?at? month is packed with action for you but I want you to be careful because it’s a bit too wild for my taste.
NOVEMBER 7 – 11th Lucky you to have the gift and support of Jupiter all this time on into next month and later in Springtime. You even have much of the first 3 weeks at your helping side, love it!
NOVEMBER 17 – 19th The new moon of the 18th is so perfect for you! The inner boost should eliminate any annoying physical issues, hopefully.
NOVEMBER 21 -23d A new day a new chapter as Neptune washes by you sending love and inspiration that you can’t play money for. Then very late month that band of inner planets in Aquarius will be lighting your sky with a lot of creative and inventive energy!
NOVEMBER 25 – DECEMBER 4th Hello early Sag’s not too many aspects line up right here until late month then you might wonder who turned the engine up so high! Well it’s Mars, Mercury and Venus jumping all over your phones and tablets after the 25th.
DECEMBER 16 – 19th Just a note of caution with Saturn hawking at your physical suns and selves. Get him a face mask and one for you too. Now Neptune has left your house so the confusion part should have evaporated . You have other planets and aspects so no worry. Saturn will have moved away by early February.
DECEMBER 20 – 22nd Oh Early Caps what to say? Well Neptune approaching early Aries might send some confusion to your coffee hours but it will move along after a while. You have excitement on your lap those very first 4 days so just lap it up!
